Low Cost and Precision Made, The A1 Pressure Switch is ideal for panel mounting wherever a high quality, economical open case control is required. Perfect for a wide range of applications in industrial service, the compact Series A1 control is available with field adjustable operating ranges from as low as 2-20 psig up to 50-500 psig (14-140 kPa to 345-3450 kPa). A convenient indicating scale is included, allowing quick and easy field adjustment of the actuation point. The rugged A1 construction incorporates the feature most often requested by customers; a 316 stainless steel diaphragm pressure element for exceptional compatibility and long service life. Standard pressure chamber is aluminum with a Teflon impregnated hard coating, perfect for oil based hydraulic fluids and non-corrosive air and gases. Choose optional brass chamber for water and water-based fluids or 316 stainless steel for harsher applications.
The process connection includes convenient dual size pipe threads, 1/8" NPT female and 1/2" NPT male. A versatile SPDT 15A snap switch provides direct control of equipment and alarms, eliminating the need for costly auxiliary relays. Broad temperature limits from -40 to 180°F (-40 to 82°C) enable operation in wide ranging environmental conditions and increase application flexibility. All models are rated for over-pressures to 750 psig (5171 kPa) without damage or loss of calibration. Series A1 pressure switches are U.L. recognized per standard 508.
APPLICATIONS
This open type pressure control is suitable for chemical, petroleum, food and drug processing industries where the switch is mounted inside a control panel or other protective enclosure.

Suggested Specifications
Pressure switch shall be operated by a 316 SS diaphragm actuating a single pole, double throw snap switch. Motion of the diaphragm shall be restrained by a calibrated spring which can be adjusted to set the exact actuation pressure. Visible scale shall be provided. Motion of the diaphragm shall be transmitted to the switch by direct mechanical linkage. Pressure chamber shall be (aluminum) (brass) (316 SS) with 1/8" NPTF x 1/2" NPTM connection.
